Sweet fragrance. Flesh pink standards have medium lavender shot up the midribs and light lemon touched petal edges. Falls are a very rich lavender violet with a lighter edge. Near red beards have a violet tip. Very wide expansive flowers held on well branched stems Great distinctiveness on this intriguing bicolor. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Cream standards heavily infused and slightly veined butter yellow. Falls are a rich deep burgundy with a large deep yellow sunburst pattern. Feed The Flame starts the season and continues blooming all the way to the beginning of the late season bloomers. Nice stalks with plenty of buds to spare. Will make an extremely bright addition to the garden.

Sweet fragrance. Milky white standards have medium lemon centers. Falls have a large maroon signal in the center that is touched gold on either side of the beard. The signal then bleeds down the fall and transitions to a solid deep lilac and finally becoming lighter lilac, forming a band at the petal’s edge. This has been a fun iris to hybridize with for the pansy face pattern. Oddly enough it is a sister to Loving Embrace which is a salmon amoena and Brilliant Debut which is a yellow amoena. A hard iris to describe but here goes. Burnt orange to salmon blended Standards are shot violet in the center. Falls have a cream and salmon ground overlaid with a deep black cherry plicata bar across the hafts and band around edge. Burnt orange to brown beards. Strong well branched stems carry up to 11 buds. A very showy garden favorite! We like!!

Medium Lavender blue standards. Falls are a rich deep salmon pink with Tangerine beards. Style arms are a nice salmon pink. Flowers a bit on the smaller side but pack a huge punch of color in the garden. Nice!

Slight sweet fragrance. This mischievous cat has plenty of pizzazz, charm and a cutting wit. Light tan standards are sanded and shaded cinnamon. Broad mid yellow falls have wide burgundy plicata bands with hafts and centers sanded and dotted burgundy; sometimes more and sometimes less. Markings can be quite variable. Two evenly spaced branches provide 7 buds.

Slight fragrance. Emphasis here is on the width and size of the flowers coming from its father, Hard to Resist. Yellow standards are edged in cream. Falls are yellow with a very wide violet border. Nicely branched show stems carry 8 buds. This one will not be overlooked in the garden. There are several sisters being introduced from this cross. Truly stunning!!

Light sweet fragrance. Standards are a deep lemon yellow with the edges being a light lemon. Falls are an interesting blend of lemon and maroon in the center giving somewhat of a brown effect. The petal edge of the fall is encircled in a wide cream and lemon blended band. The color of the fall can be quite different depending on the weather and the year. This last spring we were cool and wet the whole time and the flowers opened up a rich brown in the fall and then transitioned to the lighter color. Sweet fragrance. Medium flesh pink standards have lavender violet centers. Falls are a rich lavender violet with flesh pink touched hafts. Beards are tangerine, tipped lavender. Final Answer has been an absolute favorite since its maiden bloom. Gorgeous wide, ruffled, and heavily laced form, on Impeccably branched and budded show stems, ensures a long bloom season. This is an iris for the more northerly gardens with its lateness it is sure to avoid any damage from late freezes. It is an amazingly fertile parent, setting pods easily. An absolute must have! Sdlg. FLIRTY TEASE (Thomas Johnson ’22)

Sweet fragrance. A bit of a hard color combination to describe. Standards are a muted lavender violet lightening towards the edge and becoming a gold band and then a very light lavender edge. Falls are mostly a deep plush red-violet but with a deeper blue blended central belly stripe. The blue coloration also peeks through closer to the fall edge. The edge of the petal has a border of light flesh pink. The blue tipped beards also add a lot to the pattern. Wonderful large and ruffled flowers with exquisite form that keeps you coming back for another look. 8 buds are borne on nicely branched stems. Proving to be an excellent parent. The color does lighten with age but gracefully and with class.
