Light lemon-yellow standards are washed and veined a darker lemon. Falls are a medium lavender blue with a dark maroon wash, deepening at the hafts. A lighter lavender fall band and center belly stripe that extends from below the beard to the petals edge completes the pattern. Super strong growth with large showy flowers on nice show stems. A longer season of bloom was also noted in the field this year.

There are plenty of ruffles on this smooth bicolor. Smoky pink standards are heavily infused royal purple. Very wide and ruffed falls are velvety deep royal purple with a lighter band. Strong stalks carry 8 to 11 buds.

Deep plum standards and edge on medium lavender-purple falls. Hafts are touched gold. Beards are lavender at the base then white and finally tipped orange creating an interesting look. A later flowering variety that is tall with very nice show stems carrying up to 10 buds. We Like!!

Slight sweet fragrance. Standards have a cream base color with deep yellow at the base. There is a violet flush in the center that then fades and becomes lemon veins, before culminating in a narrow light lemon-yellow band. Falls are a rich and plush deep mahogany red violet with a wide lavender band and narrow buff edge. A tall showstopper in the garden that has been a favorite since its maiden bloom. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Put this iris at the top of your list. Its maiden bloom said, “I’m a star,” and so it is. It easily makes my top ten list. Tight compact form and heavy substance ensure it won’t fall apart in adverse weather. Exuberantly ruffled standards contrast with tightly pie crust ruffled fall edges so as to adorn but not obscure the stunning plicata patterning. Sturdy show stalks have 4 branches with 11-14 buds. Slight sweet fragrance. Cream standards are widely and precisely edged in red veining with yellow tints. Falls are a very deep blue violet with a central white sunburst. Violet lines run through the sunburst from and around the beard. Finally, there is a wide deep lemon line that extends below the beard to the dark violet band. A very large full round and ruffled form adds to the drama. Shorter in stature but with strong stems. There is a lot going on here but guaranteed to not be missed in the garden. Sdlg. Light fragrance. Pure white Standards. Falls are icy blue white with a sky-blue diffused rim. Beards are a screaming yellow-orange. The flowers on Super Sized are humungous and extremely wide creating an amazing display! Nicely branched show stems and the large looping ruffles make this a knockout when in full bloom. She has it all, grace, charm, looks, and poise - she's a SUPER MODEL. This SUPER MODEL excels where other heavily laced violet types have failed. When she finishes blooming there is still plenty of increase left. Many visitors to the AIS convention this past year remarked on that trait. Perfectly formed medium lilac flowers are edged in heavy crinkled lace. With all this lace, SUPER MODEL still opens easily. Strong show stalks normally open two well placed flowers at once. Be the first one on your block with your own SUPER MODEL. Hopefully this will be the key to unlock the overbloom problem in this color range.
