Standards are flesh pink with peach edges. Falls are flushed slightly lighter flesh pink with a wide blended peach band. Beards are kind of a strange mango peach. A very different and very pretty color combination.

Bright yellow standards sit atop flashy mahogany falls with a yellow rim and then a fine mahogany wire edge at distil end. There is also a shaded yellow area on either side of the beard. To top it all off each standard has a mahogany area inside with a beard!! Totally wild and unique. We searched the entire row of TRIPWIRE in full bloom last year and every single flower had the additional three beards inside the standards.

A difficult blending of colors to describe. Standards are eggshell white with opal pink blushed centers. Falls are Lavender with an eggshell rim. What really sets this off is the beard. The beard is violet with orange hair tips becoming more solid dark blue to violet at the end. Gorgeous form on nice show stems compete the effect. We love this iris!!

Icy blue white standards. Falls have blue white centers then a light to med. Lavender violet wash ending in a ruffled clean ice white edge. Beautifully large full formed flowers are heavily ruffled and a bit pleated in the falls. Good show stems with up to 9 buds.

TRAVELLING LIGHT (T. Johnson ’23)

Light fragrance. Brilliant lemon- yellow standards. Falls are a bit complex. The hafts are golden yellow brushed rust on the petal edge. Below the beard is a large shaded lavender wash, deeper in the center. The petal edges are then banded in lemon. Nicely formed and ruffled flowers are carried on strong stems. Sdlg. TRACKS OF MY TEARS (P. Black '21)

These tears add up to a stunning plicata. Classically formed ruffled blooms have palest pink standards heavily plic washed, sanded, and veined dark lilac. Wide pink buff fall centers are dotted mid lilac becoming darker and more heavily applied toward edges. White hafts are lined and sanded dark lilac on each side of burnt orange beards. Vigorous growth produces stalks with 3 branches plus spur and 9-10 buds. A pronounced sweet fragrance is a plus.

Sweet fragrance. Rich golden yellow standards have a maroon line in the center and some sporadic red dots. Falls have a deep yellow ground that is heavily overlaid with deep maroon red rays that become a solid band at petal edge. Tall well branched and showy stems. Apart from its excellent production of show stems, this lovely Iris should really charm the judges. The standards are white with a faint flush of soft pink at the midribs. The falls are wide and lightly ruffled and pastel peach over cream. Some light tan veining radiating from the hafts. Very fertile. Organza, its pod parent is proving to be a super parent.

Slight fragrance. Total surprise indeed is what happened when this one first bloomed. Certainly not what I was expecting, but happy for sure. White standards have a yellow blush to them. Falls are rust to red with a white spray pattern around the beard and a light lavender to white band. Toronto, the iris, is just as colorful and bustling as the city. Exaggerated rococo style ruffling characterizes the warm, peachy buff standards infused maroon up midribs. Velvety dark maroon falls are decorated with lighter rose maroon ruffles. Beards are dark burnt orange. Very showy clumps.

Lovely coral to peach pink standards. Falls are a pretty lavender pink with deeper coral hafts and a lighter area below nice shrimp pink beards. Beautiful form on nicely ruffled flowers. A very elegant a yummy color. A later flowering variety with nice show stems. Classy!

Pronounced spicy fragrance. If broken colored sorts are your proclivity, ‘Too Mixed Up’ should be on your must have list. Flowers are the ultimate in ruffled form but buds are bit lacking at 6-7. Standards are silvery white with random dashes, segments and slashes of violet to red violet. Falls are the same except rosy peach hafts. Two colored beards have tangerine throats ending in light lavender. Vigorous growth.

Slight sweet fragrance. Unlike the English language, these alluring uncomplicated flowers need no explanation; they are simply beautiful. Raspberry rose standards color is repeated in a blended band around cream to light peach falls. Orange beards provide a pointed accent. Makes a more subtle statement in the landscape.

Sweet fragrance. We look forward to TIMELESS TREASURE to bloom each year. It always puts on such a show. Moderately sized more tailored flowers are borne in profusion with a more open clump effect. This allows the viewing of each individual flower yet still giving a visual mass of color. A unique and bright color with pink Standards over lavender falls with a deeper lavender waterfall pattern that extends from the beard to a pink fall border. We Like!!
