Pronounced sweet fragrance. Precise even ruffling make ‘Wide Eyed’ a worthy candidate for your garden. The large bold dark plum purple spots on falls of mid violet blue blooms make it more so. Large gold beards are a perfect warm touch. Clumps filled with stalks are a delight.

No reason that I can think of to be normal when you can be outrageous. ‘Why Be Normal’ is a true flat iris, one having no standards and six falls with beards rather than one that merely has weak standards. Mid caramel falls have mid brown hafts and center stripes extending from mid mustard gold beards. Nest of white styles with gold crests is very cool. Nicely branched stalks have no trouble supporting these large flowers.

A lovely clean and ruffled bicolor iris. Standards are icy white with light lemon highlights especially shot up the midrib. Falls are a plush burgundy with nice wide and precise lavender bands and a darker wire rim. Nice orange beards contrast nicely with the plush burgundy falls. A favorite and used a lot in hybridizing.

Musky fragrance. Its markings aren’t dramatic but nonetheless it is a broken color. A very refreshing and spring-like creation in sparkling white and light blue. Pronounced sweet fragrance. Pink, pink and nothing but pink including the beards. The pink pigment is overlaid on a warm white ground that prevents contamination from any other color. The pink beards approaching red will make anyone stop and turn with admiring glances. It is a garden favorite that catches most everyone’s eyes. Eight to nine more simply formed flowers are presented on three perfectly spaced branches. Robust blue-green foliage is a big plus for pink TBs that can have less than stellar foliage.

Standards have a white ground overlaid solid deep gold in center becoming gold veining and finally a gold band at petal edge. Falls are a rich lavender to light red violet with a deep black cherry red thumbprint hafts and slight fall wash. Very pretty color combination and one that has been used a lot in hybridizing.

Sweet fragrance. Icy blue standards are heavily flushed cameo pink. Falls are very light lavender white with medium salmon hafts that transition to a light wash and a deep pink edge. The name Wedding Planner was inspired by our friend Nancy Solano who sells cut iris stems for weddings.
