Icy blue white standards are heavily flushed melon orange in centers. Petal edges are touched lemon. Falls are a full medium salmon to orange with bright tangerine to red beards. As an added touch the peekaboo style crests are orange. Tall and well branched for the early season.

This classically formed pastel confection will have your mouth watering. Pale peach pink standards are edged butter cream. Strongly flared greenish cream falls have white centers surrounding soft tangerine beards beneath peach styles. Show stalks have 3 branches and 8-10 buds.

Standards are a blend of salmon and flesh pink deeper at the edges and with a heavy deep violet flush in center of petals. Falls are a milk white with a peach pink border and white tipped tangerine beards. Beautiful show stems with ample buds. The flowers are heavily ruffled and lightly laced. Another welcome addition to the late season bloomers. A very intriguing color. Beautiful!!

Cocoa pink S with darker pink veining. Falls are deeper cocoa pink with darker veining and a light cocoa pink edge. What really makes this one stand out are the large Cocoa pink beards that are frosted white on the tips. A nicely ruffled uniquely colored creation. Very distinctive and pretty.

Icy white standards with green veining up the midrib. Falls are white with gold veined hafts and gold and purple blended veins on either side of the beard. Then there is almost a complete white bar across the falls which transitions into purple lines and wash and finally a light lemon edge. A very complex color pattern indeed. Even the beard is different. The hairs are white at the base then orange and finally red at the tips. Nice branching and strong growth and 8 buds. A favorite seedling of mine for the last few years. Very distinctive and won’t be confused with anything else.

Many lovely BBs are coming from tetraploid MTB, SDB and IB breeding and this is one with exceptional quality. Ruffled, classically formed blooms are rose mulberry bitone with buff area around tangerine beards. Strong show stalks have 3 branches plus 2 spurs with 12-14 buds. A must have for showing or in the garden.

MOUSE THAT ROARED (P. Black '21)

It may be small, but it has a big impact in a clump. It is another variation on a plicata theme reaching back to ‘Ghost Ship’. It is a luminata but not in the traditional TB style luminatas by having darker fall veins rather than lighter. The upper half of white standards are shaded mid slate purple with butter edges. Startling white styles peak out from between them. Falls have bright yellow throats blended to white then washed light to mid violet to edges. Chlorophyl lines streak alongside beards turning to mid violet and darkening to edges.

Such beauty is exhibited by this pristine white glaciata with lime lines over standards. Falls have light yellow hafts and silvery texture veins. Orange to white beards are a nice splash of color.

Full and tightly formed blooms are a rich medley of peach, pink, and apricot with big vivid orange beards to get everyone’s attention. White ground standards overlaid with deep purple just allowing a bit of white to show in the center. Falls are white with a deep purple black band and deep purple black hafts around blue tipped rust beards. This is one long blooming iris. It starts the season and is still flowering when the late bloomers start. Very floriferous and a vigorous grower. Nicely formed wide and ruffled flowers. A quality iris!

Cream Standards are flushed and washed pink and lavender. Falls have a peach to orange haft area and slightly lighter fall edge. Deep purple diffused lines radiate from below the beards to near petals edge. Even the beards are a strange blend of coral pink to lavender. A lovely color combination that is hard to describe.
