Sweet fragrance. Under Pressure is another iris that was labeled as an intro from maiden bloom. It never ceases to perform and has good stems and buds as well. Bright yellow standards. The falls are a bit complicated. There is a yellow sunburst in the center that is bordered with a diffused wash of red violet. Then the violet transitions to lavender and finally a very light yellow rim with a violet wire edge. Sdlg. TK170C: Dare To Be Different and This Is Crazy sib.

OH SO DIFFERENT (Paul Black 23)

No fragrance It takes center stage with one of the most dramatically unique flowers. Standards and falls are both a study in color and pattern. Light buffy tan blended standards are widely banded with fine dark plum filigree. Old gold style crests striped dark brown emerge from between them. White falls are a puzzle of purple black veins and sanding overall becoming darker and more closely spaced toward edges. White stitching on reverses adds more distinction. Mid marigold beards help focus the eye. Of course, this has been a favorite since it first bloomed. Three branches have 8-9 buds. Easy and fast growth. Sdlg. AA73L, How Bizarre! Sib

Light fragrance. Creamy standards have pink centers and a gilt lemon edge. Falls are yellow with red violet lines extending from the beard to near the petal edge. The lines become a series of dots just before it becomes a yellow edge. A different color for the lined pattern. Nice stems and large well-formed and ruffled flowers. Unique. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. This cross produced a very nice group of plicata patterned seedlings in several different colors and shades. Feuding Fiddles has near solid raspberry standards and band on creamy yellow falls. As with all of the sisters in the cross the form is lovely and clumps cover themselves in bloom. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. A very difficult color to describe. Standards have a violet and pinkish blended center that transitions into golden yellow veins and outer band. In Good Company is a somewhat different color combination that is quite bright and striking. Standards have violet centers, becoming buff with yellow highlights at the edge. Falls are a rich and vibrant deep golden yellow. Nicely ruffled flowers are held on tall and stately stems.

IB Early-midseason 27” (68.5cm) Slight fragrance.
Very light lavender standards have a wide light yellow band. Lemon style arms peek through above the orange beard. Falls are cream with a violet central wash, a lemon band, and dotted hafts. A really strong grower and heavy bloomer, very different. Makes a dazzling display.
