Sweet fragrance. Cream standards heavily infused and slightly veined butter yellow. Falls are a rich deep burgundy with a large deep yellow sunburst pattern. Feed The Flame starts the season and continues blooming all the way to the beginning of the late season bloomers. Nice stalks with plenty of buds to spare. Will make an extremely bright addition to the garden.

Sweet fragrance. Stately and bold probably best describes Garden Prince. Classic form on this lovely lavender-blue-purple. The hafts and style crests are touched chocolate. The fall is also bordered in a deeper violet edge. Orange beards tipped blue complete the look. Very nicely branched stems and with good bud count. An intriguing iris and one that always drew me for a closer look when walking through the seedlings.

Sweet fragrance. Sky blue standards over deep marine blue falls. Beards are tangerine in the throat and frosted blue at the end. Private Lesson is a late variety with exemplary traits. Classic globular form with nice looping ruffles, tall strong stems with good branching and high bud count. Very stately in the garden and one that will not go unnoticed.

Sweet fragrance. Standards are a rich shade of salmon pink extending out to become veining as it moves towards the icy blue border. Style arms peek through with the same rich salmon coloration. Falls are white with light salmon hafts and a blue blended band becoming deeper toward the edge. The form is wide and overlapping at the hafts with good ruffles. Easy growth and strong stems make this a real garden standout. A favorite of mine and of visitors to the garden. A very pretty combination.

TB Midseason 36” (91cm) Slight fragrance. White standards have a narrow gold halo that is matched on the style crests. Falls are white with a violet plicata stitched edge. Beards mustard- yellow, more tangerine in the throat. An excellent grower with strong show stems carrying 10 buds. Nice ruffled, wide and overlapping form adds to the show. Gives a very clean and sharp look to the garden.

No fragrance. Peach and cream blended standards. White falls with a wide red violet plicata band and thin belly stripe that extends from below the beard to distal end. Nice classic rounded form shows off the deeply contrasting dark mustard yellow style arms, creating quite a dramatic look. Strong growth and show stems with loads of buds allows for a very long season of bloom. A very good and showy garden iris.

Sweet fragrance. A very early and long blooming variety, definitely in the top ten to start the season. Marked as an introduction from its maiden bloom it has performed consistently every year. A bit hard to capture but the color is so bright in the sun it appears on fire. Beautiful full ruffled form and show stems with ample buds. Brilliant gold standards sit atop rich burgundy red falls with orange beards. A definite garden favorite.

Sweet fragrance. Canary yellow standards. Falls are light lavender blue below the beard becoming lighter towards the edge. The hafts are touched yellow and there is a light yellow band that surrounds the fall. You Can Jive produces quality show stems with 10 or more buds, grows with strong vigor, and blooms profusely. In fact it puts on such a show that I simply have to stop to admire it each day when it is in flower. Uniqueness can be determined not only by color or pattern but garden performance and this one certainly does that.

Sweet fragrance. Standards are a coral pink to light orange. Falls are pink with a lighter cream area below the beard. Classic full round, and ruffled form and wide well branched and budded stems create an amazing show in the garden. Simply spectacular! Sweet fragrance. Dark burgundy-maroon standards are edged with a wide gold band. Falls are a deep beetroot red to near black with a narrow gold edge. The central white luminata patch has gold touched hafts on both sides. Heavily ruffled flowers are a delight to behold. Here Comes Trouble is a strong grower with fast increase and a prolific bloomer. She has been very popular with garden visitors. Sdlg. Olivia was not only a very talented celebrity but she was a gorgeous human being. Although I never met her, I certainly followed her career and life. Always a kind, warm and loving person, she never acted the celebrity, taking time to acknowledge all who came upon her. She courageously fought breast cancer in an out of remission for 20 years. Never one to complain she always looked on the positive side of things. The latter part of her life was dedicated to finding a cure for Cancer. She founded the Oliva Newton-John Cancer And Wellness Centre In Melbourne, Australia, the country she called home. Here she tirelessly raised money to support cancer research using plant-based treatments. Lovely Livvy was the pet name the media used throughout Olivia’s life to describe her. The iris we have chosen to honor her kind of named itself. Firstly, it is pink, the color of breast cancer awareness. On top of that, I made the cross in the garden of Barry and Lesley Blyth (using two of Barry’s seedlings), who live only miles from where Olivia grew up. Lovely Livvy is an extraordinary and unique creation in a color combination that has not yet been seen in iris until now. White standards are flushed pink. Falls are a deeper rose pink with a gorgeous ruffled white band. Olivia with her kind and generous heart inspired me to do my part, so I donated a portion of the proceeds of each plant sold in its introductory year (2023) to her Cancer research centre in Australia. Lightly fragrant. More coral than pink, this self reminds me of the coral jewelry you can obtain in Hawaii. The color always stops me in the garden because of its intensity. The coral-pink is a little creamy around the beards. Beards are coral, lightening to peach at the upturned tip. Flowers are ruffled with slightly crimped edges.
