The first of many introductions this year from the wonderful parent Dressed to the Nines. White standards with lemon centers becoming faint veining to petal edge. Falls are a deep rich red violet with a very light lavender band and then a gold edge. The beards are tangerine tipped violet. Very nice ruffled form on fantastic show stems. Break My Heart is a strong bloomer covering itself with flowers. Fabulous!!

Medium lemon and cream blended standards with a very light lavender line extending up the midrib. Falls are red purple in the center bending to a lavender band and then a gilt gold edge. Wonderful show stems carrying 9 buds complete the package. Strong garden appeal.

Cream and light lemon blended standards with violet flush in center. Falls Have a large deep purple-violet center spot with a very wide lavender edge. Nicely ruffled flowers are real show stoppers. One that has been much admired since its maiden bloom.

Puerto Vallarta the iris kind of reminds me of the beautiful sunsets over the ocean on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, thus the name. Brilliant golden yellow standards. Falls have dark yellow hafts that blend to a lighter lemon wash and finally deepening to a mustard yellow edge. Salmon shadings are deeper at the haft becoming a blended wash inside the yellow edge. There is also a large white patch below the intensely saturated yellow/orange beards. A very consistent garden performer with show stems and 9 buds. An easy and strong grower that really adds a bright spot of color in the garden. Super!!

Icy blue white standards are slightly darker in the center. Falls are a deep indigo blue purple with lighter lavender band and then a purple wire rim. Short white rays radiate out from around either side of orange beards. Large blooms on show stems on very floriferous and long blooming clumps. Very bold!!

Medium lavender standards are darker at the edge. Falls are a deep lavender purple with a very wide and ruffled medium lavender band. Yellow orange beards are tipped lavender. If you are into the dramatic this certainly fits the bill. Spectacular in clump with an abundance of large ruffled flowers on show stems. Slight fragrance. Rich butter yellow standards. Falls have a light creamy yellow base that is a near solid patch in center becoming a lined and rayed pattern that is overlaid mid to deep violet, then the petals are etched light yellow with a purple wire rim. Nicely ruffled and pleated flowers are extremely bright and showy. Quite a unique application of color and pattern. Lovely show stems and good bud count assure it to be a contender on the show bench. A favorite since its maiden bloom.

Sweet fragrance. Canary yellow standards. Falls are canary yellow at the hafts becoming a light yellow wash below the beard. The light yellow then blends into a wide rose pink band. A very pretty and unique color combination. Nice full and ruffled form, show branching and good bud count. Very stately looking.

Sweet fragrance. Light yellow standards sit atop clean orchid blue falls. There is a lighter orchid wash area below the yellow-orange beard. Great stems with nice branching and bud count. The form is wide and expansive with nice ruffles. The photo shows what the flower looks like after it has been fully open for a day. The color starts out darker and transforms to the photo color. A very clean and pretty bicolor.

Light sweet fragrance. Standards are medium pink in the center, then becoming white with pink veins and finally forming a pink rim. Falls are white with a rose-pink band and a white tipped orange beard. Just Between Us is lovely in every way. The ruffled form is beautiful, it is a good grower and has nicely branched stems. Sweetly scented. Let Me Be There is a WOW iris that cannot be overlooked! Standards are deep lemon yellow. Falls are white with a diffused lilac border. Hafts are touched lemon. The form and ruffles are indescribable, simple gorgeous. We have used Let Me Be There heavily in our breeding program and have been glad we did. An absolute must iris! Sdlg. Light sweet fragrance. Milky white standards are flushed light lemon in the center and at the petal edges. Falls are a rich lavender violet overlaid with a deep red violet spot that blends out to a light flesh pink edge. I have a bit of a soft spot for this sort of pattern and the application of the color is so good on Propensity. It doesn’t hurt that it has beautiful wide ruffled form on nice stems either. Sdlg. Light sweet fragrance. Light lemon standards have dark lemon centers extending to deep lemon veining to petal edge. Sweet fragrance. Light lavender violet standards are banded in cream with faint gold veining. Falls are a rich deep red violet with a light lavender edge. Beards are a nice tangerine. Space race is a super strong grower and a fast increaser creating full clumps very quickly. A color pattern that shows from clear across the field. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Ooh la la is what I say each year when this one starts to flower. Impeccable wide and ruffled form. Not really sure whether to call this a bicolor or a blend. Whatever it is, we like it very much, and we love to hybridize with it. Blended golden orange and salmon standards swirl elegantly above light rosy lavender falls with a peach wash, deeper at the hafts, and lighter as it moves down the petal. Oh, and did we mention it is ruffled? This was a very productive cross and has yielded many intros including last year’s Head Of The Class and Refined Elegance. Sdlg.
