Medium lavender pink standards. Falls are darker with a lighter edge. Beards are a frosted lavender. Nice show stems, and a good grower. The flowers are well formed with nice width and are lightly laced. A very lovely pastel. Classy!

SPINE TINGLER (T. Johnson ’22)

Sweet fragrance. Luminatas have always been a favorite of mine and I am super excited about Spine Tingler. The form is divine-very wide and ruffled flowers on show stems with high bud count. A clump of it approaches perfection. Inky purple standards with nice precise gold edging. Darker violet falls with nice creamy-white lumi patch that is touched gold with a short white dart below the orange beard. The very wide ruffled falls are edged in gold. Recommended for the lovers of this pattern.

NIGHT DANCER (T. Johnson ’23)

Sweet fragrance. Standards have medium rose pink centers and a flesh pink edge. Falls are a rich purple with a near black purple haft. Even the beard is dark being purple with burnt orange hair tips giving it a bit of a gothic look. I love pink and purple combinations although they are not that common. A very pretty iris. Sdlg. Pronounced sweet fragrance Oh yes, that big billowy ruffled form is something to shout about. Mid red violet standards have ruffled light buff bands and subtle gray-white veins shot outward from their centers. Styles are light buff. Mid dark red violet blended falls have muted fine gray-white lines overall, narrow gray-white bands and white luminata patch. Beards progress from mid marigold ending in white. Sweet fragrance. Blended gold and purple standards. Falls are a blended golden yellow with a large dark blue violet central wash. Wonderful round and ruffled form on show stems. Sweet fragrance. Amply ruffled flowers are displayed on superbly branched show stalks. Strong growing, disease resistant foliage makes Ripples In Time a good landscape plant. Three branches and a spur provide 10-11 buds. Its lovely pastel color is a perfect foil for darker colors. Standards are lemon with gold centers. TB Early-midseason 36” (91.5cm) Slight sweet fragrance.
Standards are blue white with darker centers infused pink. Falls are a rich rosy pink with a very light lavender band. A really beautiful color combination, and one that has been popular with visitors. Nice buds, stems, and growth certainly add to the attraction.

LOVE IN THE DARK (T. Johnson ’25)
TB Early-midseason 38” (96.5cm) Slight sweet fragrance.
Quite an intensely colored iris. Standards are solid deep oxblood red. Falls are cream with a lemon wash on either side of the beard extending down to the wide red dotted band. Very showy in the fields this last year, making quite a statement at the end of its row.

NEVER ENDING STORY (T. Johnson ’25)
TB Early-midseason 37” (94cm) Slight sweet fragrance.
Very light lemon to cream standards have darker lemon centers. Falls are a deep red violet with a small yellow area around the beard. There is a bit of bluish violet blending below the beard, and a wide heavily ruffled and blended yellow band. Never Ending Story has gorgeous classical form with heavy ruffles on nice stems. A really lovely iris!

DEEP APPRECIATION (Thomas Johnson ’26)
TB Early-midseason 38” (96.5cm) Slight musky fragrance.
Deep black cherry to black standards show a slight bit of yellow ground in the center. Falls have a white ground with a lemon-yellow wash that is dotted deep black cherry, with a dark bar around the beard and line below the beard. The fall then has a wide black cherry band. It differs from its sister ‘Love In The Dark’ in that Deep Appreciation is near black, whereas the former is a very deep oxblood red. Very stunning! Sdlg. TM149QQ: Love In The Dark sibling

Light lavender white standards have dark lemon centers and a light lemon touched edge. Falls are a light lavender white with a deep rust haft and a deep violet black flash below the beard. Quite a stunner of an iris, and one that has been much loved in the garden. Tall, well branched and budded stems make it a contender for best in show on the show bench. Sdlg.
