Medium grape standards and edge on deep violet falls. Flowers are large, full and beautifully ruffled. A very nice addition to the purple iris palette. The strange rust to almost brown beards add a bit of mystery. Very classy indeed!!

Sweet fragrance. Standards have golden yellow centers and icy blue-white edges. Falls are golden yellow with a white flash that extends from just below the beard and blends into a gold band near the petal edge. House Of Light is a very vigorous grower and is always one of the very first to start blooming. Strong show stems with ample buds make it an early season showstopper. A nice iris to kickstart the TB season.

Light sweet fragrance. Milky white standards are flushed light lemon in the center and at the petal edges. Falls are a rich lavender violet overlaid with a deep red violet spot that blends out to a light flesh pink edge. I have a bit of a soft spot for this sort of pattern and the application of the color is so good on Propensity. It doesn’t hurt that it has beautiful wide ruffled form on nice stems either. Sdlg. High Wire Act is such a beautiful iris, especially in a clump where it really shines, showing off its beautiful gold rim. Standards are cream with very faint gold veining in the center and a violet line up the midrib. The wide ruffled gold band really catches the eye. Falls are white, with a very wide rust red dotted band and white wire rim. A violet line down the center of the petal, from below the beard to the petal’s edge, adds another dimension of intrigue.

You need some time to take in this exceptional creation. Three well-spaced branches have 8-9 buds.

Can Just Imagine is very tall and stately, with beautiful show stems. It is a ‘fancy’, which in hybridizing talk means it is about one generation away from being a luminata. A unique and striking feature is its beautiful lavender spathes and stems. It is very hard to photograph but is very noticeable in the garden. We have used this one quite a lot in hybridizing. I had a dream many years ago to take that wonderful burnt orange color on the iris ‘Shockaholic’ and put it on a plant that had wider branching and a better stem, thus the name of this lovely result, Mission Accomplished. I am very happy with this one. The standards are light blue lavender with a deep orange spot in the center. Falls are rich burnt orange with a lighter edge. Beards are rich tangerine to red. Solid pink standards have a gold edge. Falls are complex for sure. The ground color is a medium lavender with a creamy white area below the beard. The ground is then overlaid with a deep violet wash that clears and becomes a soft lavender pink band with a violet wire rim. Really a unique and stunning color confection.
