Light fragrance. Salmon pink standards. Falls are a medium blue purple with a wide deep red violet lined bar completely covering the haft and extending out the length of the beard. Your eyes will immediately be drawn to the very large and showy red beards. A very distinctive and fun iris for sure, with excellent growth and well branched show stems. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Bountiful ruffles give a bubbly presence to these handsome dark flowers. Larger flowers on well-branched stalks make quite a sight in the garden. Cool beards are big and bushy, with a purple base with orange tips in the throat and center, and purple with white frosted tips at the end. Sldg. Spicy fragrance. At first glance, Hidden Feature appears to be a glaciata, but don’t be deceived. The sun-sensitive anthocyanin (blue/purple pigment) on the fall reverse is activated by exposure to the sun. It is the reason for the irregular application from petal to petal. Intriguing and unusual, but not a rare occurrence. The pattern is called “celestar”. Larger flowers boldly call from a long distance. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. What can I say, it is pretty! Its highly ruffled form is a statement all on its own. Add entrancing color and show stalks and you have something you won’t soon forget. Stalks can have 4 branches and a spur with a 12-14 bud total. Take me to a show! ‘Background Noise’ and its siblings have been exceptional parents. Sweet fragrance. ‘Me And My Shadow’ has been an excellent parent. I am excited about the possibilities of using Never Never Land in plicata breeding since it is half plicata. Its vivid red-orange beards will be a wonderful bold addition when transferred to plicatas. Superior garden traits make it a great garden subject. Standards are light blue with a tan wire rim. BURST OF INSPIRATION (T. Johnson ’25)
TB Early-midseason 37” (94cm) Sweet fragrance.
Standards are creamy white with pinkish centers. Falls are wide and ruffled with a deep violet purple center wash that transitions to a very wide lavender band. Its striking pattern is displayed on nicely branched and budded stems. A nice clean and sharp addition to the rimmed pattern.

Light yellow petals, with a near solid purple overlay on the falls, accentuated by a light yellow area below the beard and a gold band. One of my favorites for this year, absolutely stunning in a clump.

Brilliant orange standards are flushed purple in the center. Falls are orange with deeper orange hafts and violet veins that become a dotted wash just prior to the orange edge. The colors are brilliant neon on super wide petals, creating an intensity that is amazing.

Mauve pink standards rise above mauve and lavender pink blended falls with lighter centers. There is texture veining that juts out from around the deep lavender purple beard. Gorgeous ruffled and wide form showcases the pattern. Nice stems and buds as well. Quite a striking iris.

Golden yellow standards sit atop white falls with a deep red purple band. An absolutely stunning and clean color combination, Suggestion jumps out at you in the garden with its cheerful bright colors. Tall and well branched stems make it a good show iris as well. Excellent!!
