Slight fragrance. Total surprise indeed is what happened when this one first bloomed. Certainly not what I was expecting, but happy for sure. White standards have a yellow blush to them. Falls are rust to red with a white spray pattern around the beard and a light lavender to white band. Sweet fragrance. Gorgeously formed, ruffled, and lightly laced blooms are adorned with big delicious beards. Light mid pink standards are blended buff at the edges. Falls have a creamy cantaloupe center with orange hafts and lighter edge. Supremely show-branched stalks have 3 branches and spur resulting in 10-12 blooms. Very strong, robust, and clean growth. Sweet fragrance. Here we have one of my infamous “small flowered tall bearded” introductions. Disclaimer: There is no such class. It is a TB, the only class for it. It is from about as diverse a parentage as one can get. There are TBs, tet MTBs, IBs, and SDBs in its background. What a breeding bonanza! Expect considerable variation in seedling heights in breeding. Clumps are filled with show stalks that have 3 to 4 branches and 12-15 buds. It is a showstopper. Growth and disease resistance is A++. Sweet fragrance. This smaller flowered tall bearded beauty traces back to ‘Passionate Embrace’ and the unusually colored flowers it produces, particularly in the citrus colors. Its myriads of show stalks cover the clumps in bloom. The white fall bands make it pop. Sweet fragrance. What can I say, it is pretty! Its highly ruffled form is a statement all on its own. Add entrancing color and show stalks and you have something you won’t soon forget. Musky fragrance. Its markings aren’t dramatic but nonetheless it is a broken color. A very refreshing and spring-like creation in sparkling white and light blue. Three well-spaced branches provide 8-10 flowers. Near white standards hover above falls washed light violet-blue with random darker violet-blue mottling. Sldg. Sweet fragrance. This vigorous and hardy yellow ground plicata comes from very different breeding. It produces consistent show stalks that are at home in the garden or on the show bench. In Good Company is a somewhat different color combination that is quite bright and striking. Standards have violet centers, becoming buff with yellow highlights at the edge. Falls are a rich and vibrant deep golden yellow. Nicely ruffled flowers are held on tall and stately stems.

Clean lavender standards are lightly laced. Falls are a rich medium violet with slightly darker veins. What really sets Left An Imprint apart is the deep inky blue black hafts, creating quite a dramatic effect. Very distinctive!

Oh Far Out is what I say each year when I approach this iris. The intensity of the gold is so bright, it is amazing!! Brilliant golden yellow flowers have a wide and precise maroon red band and lighter rim on the falls. An absolutely stunning iris in a clump!! Strong show stems are in abundance. Recommended for those who are looking for an iris to make a statement.

Light salmon pink standards are echoed in the band around the rich rosy pink falls. The falls are extremely wide and overlapping. What really sets Topography apart from the others is its intensely ruffled and lightly laced flowers. Nice show stems are the norm.

What makes this lovely iris special is the three-toned marigold to white beard dividing the light yellow to white luminata patch on the dark indigo falls. Standards are also dark indigo. Styles are white with indigo crests. It makes an impressive clump.
