Sweet fragrance. Flesh pink standards have medium lavender shot up the midribs and light lemon touched petal edges. Falls are a very rich lavender violet with a lighter edge. Sweet fragrance. Milky white standards have medium lemon centers. Falls have a large maroon signal in the center that is touched gold on either side of the beard. The signal then bleeds down the fall and transitions to a solid deep lilac and finally becoming lighter lilac, forming a band at the petal’s edge. This has been a fun iris to hybridize with for the pansy face pattern. Oddly enough it is a sister to Loving Embrace which is a salmon amoena and Brilliant Debut which is a yellow amoena. Sweet fragrance. Golden orange standards tower over deep old rose falls with a large central blue violet wash. Hafts are touched gold on either side of burnt orange beards. Sweet fragrance. Standards are marine blue violet with a white band. Falls are a deep rich blue violet with a white edge and striping on the sides. There is a large white luminata patch around the beard and a short white dart below the beard. The hafts are touched orange which helps to draw the eye into the flower. Sweet fragrance. Dark burgundy-maroon standards are edged with a wide gold band. Falls are a deep beetroot red to near black with a narrow gold edge. The central white luminata patch has gold touched hafts on both sides. Heavily ruffled flowers are a delight to behold. Here Comes Trouble is a strong grower with fast increase and a prolific bloomer. She has been very popular with garden visitors. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Standards are the darkest red violet with a very light rose edge. Falls are an intense shade of black mulberry with a thin light margin of light rose. There is just a touch of orange on either side of the white luminata patch. On The Cover is a very dark luminata but to the red tones of purple black where as many other dark luminatas currently on the market are to the blue tones of black. Sweet fragrance. Old gold standards have a heavy infusion of rose violet in the center. Falls are a rosy lavender with a deeper haft and fall edge. The hafts are also slightly touched gold on either side of the beard. Rather large flowers are lightly ruffled and laced. Show stems are the norm on this rich beauty. Light sweet fragrance. It is hard not to think positive when viewing this happy, cheerful iris. Standards are a brilliant canary yellow. Falls are creamy white with a canary yellow haft and band. There is also a touch of lilac on the shoulders and blushed below the beard. An interesting and beautiful application of color. Nicely ruffled, well-branched show stems are the norm. Sdlg. Pronounced sweet fragrance This beauty is another project that has taken more than a few generations to get achieve, and it still isn’t finished. The goal is a clear pink amoena and blue/pink bicolor. Both are possible given enough generations. Cool white standards have light green veins up midribs. Light peach falls blend to buttery yellow. Sweet fragrance. Clean and crisp medium yellow standards. Falls are a very interesting blend of violet and yellow. The hafts are touched more solid yellow and there is a more concentrated yellow-tan blend forming a band. The center of the fall is flushed violet. Sweet fragrance. ‘Me And My Shadow’ has been an excellent parent. I am excited about the possibilities of using Never Never Land in plicata breeding since it is half plicata. Its vivid red-orange beards will be a wonderful bold addition when transferred to plicatas. Superior garden traits make it a great garden subject. Standards are light blue with a tan wire rim. Standards are a very light creamy yellow with a deep golden yellow center. Falls are creamy white with a nice lavender to violet band. The hafts are also touched a bit with lemon. This strong grower has excellent form and stems with lots of buds. It has been used extensively in hybridizing and has proven to be a quality parent. A standout iris!

Here it is, the one many of you have been asking about since I first posted its picture on FB. I’m also in love with it. It is one of those irises where everything works together to make a stunning creation. Light yellow standard centers blend to wide stark white bands. Irregularly edged big brown-black fall spots transition to wide white bands, including a white dart up their distal center. A nest of white darts encircles white beards. OH MY!

An absolutely stunning flower with very wide overlapping hafts and exuberant ruffles. The color of the standards is a very complex blending of orange, light orange, pink, and lavender tones. Falls are creamy white with peach touched hafts and a wide lilac to lavender band. Anti Hero is also blessed with nicely branched and budded stems, making her a winner on the show bench as well.
