Beige standards with violet flush up the midrib and slight gold blending at petal edges. Falls are a rich deep lavender becoming lighter at the edge. Burnt orange beards are tipped deep lavender. This is a very classy looking iris with gorgeous form and wide ruffles on show stems with ample buds. A very dependable and consistent showoff in clump. Nice!!

DRESSED TO THE NINES (T. Johnson ’19)

Lemon yellow standards over red violet falls with lavender band and slight yellow wire rim. Short white lines radiate out on either side of the yellow orange beard. With its super nice ruffled form, we have used Dressed to the Nine’s heavily in hybridizing and is an exceptional parent for form and banded patterns in lots of different colors. There will be many intros from it in the future. Nice stems with good buds complete this quality iris.

A gorgeous creation with beautiful form and good stems. Standards are a strange blend of Lavender violet and peach with deeper violet shadings in the center and peach at the tips. Falls are light lavender with deeper peachy orange hafts and fall band. Beautiful!!

Yes, ‘Extreme’ ruffles and ‘Extreme’ color made this a top contender for introduction from its first bloom. Peach blooms are heavily washed dark orange giving a seductive depth of color. Huge dark orange beards grab your eye as you approach. Strong growth. Three buds on stalks with one branch.

A hard iris to describe but here goes. Burnt orange to salmon blended Standards are shot violet in the center. Falls have a cream and salmon ground overlaid with a deep black cherry plicata bar across the hafts and band around edge. Burnt orange to brown beards. Strong well branched stems carry up to 11 buds. A very showy garden favorite! We like!!

On the shorter side, GIRL LIKE YOU is a very ruffled and lightly laced rich salmon to orange self with a small white flash below fully saturated red orange beards. Gold style crests show through between the standards providing a nice contrast. Orange red beards add to the effect. Very showy and a garden visitor favorite. Wow is what I always say when I see this one bloom. The flowers are large and very dramatic. Lavender standards with a slightly darker infusion in the midrib. Falls are a very deep plush purple black with a very ruffled lavender band and then a thin deep purple wire edge. The beards are a brilliant orange. A very clean brilliant contrast. Makes startling clumps!! Highly recommended.

And the dream is a very late blooming SDB with multiple branches spaced to allow all flowers to open freely. It’s now reality. Iridescent mid purple standards shine above purple black falls with white rays around burnt orange beards. Two branches plus spur have 6-7 buds. Excellent parent.
