Sweet fragrance. Standards have medium rose pink centers and a flesh pink edge. Falls are a rich purple with a near black purple haft. Even the beard is dark being purple with burnt orange hair tips giving it a bit of a gothic look. I love pink and purple combinations although they are not that common. A very pretty iris. Sdlg. TROPICAL TEASE (T. Johnson ’23)

Sweet fragrance. Cream standards with dark pink centers and golden orange edging. Falls are creamy white with deep orange hafts and edge. The flowers are heavily ruffled and ever so slightly laced. A very pretty iris for later in the season. Sdlg. TK107C: Stage Fright sib.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN (T. Johnson ’23)

Sweet fragrance. Standards are pink with a flesh pink band and a gold edge. Falls are a rich plum violet with tangerine beards. This is a late variety. It is in full flower when pretty much everything else has finished. A very strong grower and increaser and floriferous, covering itself in bloom. Sdlg. TK1ZZ: Love You So sib.

Slight musky fragrance This later blooming pink ground plicata avoids the winter damage that plagued so many earlier ones of this type. Ruffled standards are mid pink blending to mid apricot edges. Mid coral styles echo these warmer colors. Light pink falls have white luminata type patches lined mid plum. Narrow ruffled red-plum plicata bands encircle the expansive falls. Coral beards are the perfect accessory. Vigorous growth creates sumptuous clumps filled with show stalks having 3 branches and 8-10 buds. Sdlg. Slight fragrance. Medium pink standards. White falls are flushed pink, becoming deeper at the edges. Beards are a lovely violet blue with just a brushing of orange at the hair tips, giving a very pretty effect. Sweet fragrance. Cream based standards have pink centers and a light lemon veined band. Falls are a rich apricot with light apricot below the beard and touched pink below the hafts. Sweet fragrance. Very pretty shade of mauve to lavender standards, deeper in color at the base. Pretty buff pink style arms add a bit of subtle contrast. Falls are very light mauve to near white. Beards are a true lavender with white hair tips. This iris is from blue bearded pink breeding. I can visualize someday having a white with a large lavender beard. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. What can I say, it is pretty! Its highly ruffled form is a statement all on its own. Add entrancing color and show stalks and you have something you won’t soon forget. Stalks can have 4 branches and a spur with a 12-14 bud total. Take me to a show! ‘Background Noise’ and its siblings have been exceptional parents. Epilogue is another iris people have been waiting for. It is from my long running attempt to put lace on SDBs. The fall edges of this pretty flower are serrated but not truly laced. It seems I may never hit the goal. Light pink standards have light gilt yellow bands. Light pink styles look out over falls having light-mid yellow hafts and wide blended band with pale flesh pink centers.
