Light lemon-yellow infused pink standards, flushed heavier in the centers. Lavender and rose blended falls with deeper texture veins and lemon buff edge. Large gorgeous ruffled form. Not a color for everyone but one that I love and look forward to seeing each year. Definitely unique!

Heavily ruffled standards are magenta blended to darker rose magenta. Lighter chalky rose maroon falls have a bluish cast and have hafts and narrow bands of the standard’s color. Intriguing beards are dark mustard tipped brown. Tall, well-branched stalks have 7 buds.

Medium grape standards and edge on deep violet falls. Flowers are large, full and beautifully ruffled. A very nice addition to the purple iris palette. The strange rust to almost brown beards add a bit of mystery. Very classy indeed!!

Medium lavender standards are darker at the edge. Falls are a deep lavender purple with a very wide and ruffled medium lavender band. Yellow orange beards are tipped lavender. If you are into the dramatic this certainly fits the bill. Spectacular in clump with an abundance of large ruffled flowers on show stems. Rosy pink plicata standards. Rosy red plicata falls with lighter clear salmon area on either side of brilliant red beards. Lovely ruffled solid pink syles show brightly in the heart of the flower. Three buds on strong plants. We like this one a lot.

Coming out of my lined pattern breeding, THUNDERING APPLAUSE pushes the pattern a step further. We are finally getting wide ruffled and even slightly laced form. Creamy white standards are infused peach pink. Falls have a light lemon base that is overlaid with violet lines radiating from the heart of the flower and becoming more of a wash near the edge. Then the whole pattern is framed by a nice lemon-yellow band. Tangerine beards help to compliment the pattern. Super strong growth on floriferous clumps.

A difficult blending of colors to describe. Standards are eggshell white with opal pink blushed centers. Falls are Lavender with an eggshell rim. What really sets this off is the beard. The beard is violet with orange hair tips becoming more solid dark blue to violet at the end. Gorgeous form on nice show stems compete the effect. We love this iris!!

Untamed Glory is a novelty iris. It very consistently has six falls and no standards, but instead of going completely flat they hold in the shape of a magnolia bloom. It is very reminiscent in form of a very old cultivar by Opal Brown called Pink Magnolia. A clump of Untamed Glory will completely cover itself with these large ruffled salmon pink flowers with irregular white broken color. Definitely an iris for those who love the novelties.

What a beauty she is as she takes flight. Standards of heavily ruffled blooms are shaded light pink and are edged with ivory lace. Sweet fragrance. Honor Roll is the fourth sister in this cross to be introduced and it has been used heavily in my hybridizing program. Palest cream standards are veined and infused light lemon and deep gold at the base. Falls are a very deep plush burgundy with a wide light lavender band that blends into a light yellow edge. Heavily ruffled parts of the petal backs show and add to the effect with multiple layers of color. Nice stems with good branching and bud count make it a winner. A very beautiful iris and a favorite for sure. Check out all the pictures of Honor Roll as the flower ages through the days the yellow pigments become more creamy white. Gorgeous either way, we love this iris and we think you will too.

Slight fragrance. Pink standards with lighter edges. Smooth mid lavender falls with a very slight pink touch at the hafts. Beards are a gorgeous combination with orange in the heart then frosty blue and finally lavender at the tip. A good grower on a beautiful bicolor combination of lavender and pink.

Slight sweet fragrance. Many early blooming plicatas were a disaster in colder climates because of their related early growth. ‘Goat Rodeo’ is another from my lines to produce later blooming, cold hardy and vigorous plicatas. Dark wine standards show a small central patch of white ground. Pale yellow ground falls are widely banded dark brownish wine with hafts more heavily sanded dark brown. Marigold beards are just the right pop of accent color. Strong growth produces stalks with 3 branches and 8-10 buds.
