This gorgeous pink iris was named It’s A Wrap because we always know that when it starts to bloom we are heading towards the end of the bloom season. Marked for introduction from its maiden bloom, we have been patiently building stock and are excited to finally offer it. This gorgeous pink self is slightly lighter below the beards, which are a wonderful shade of shrimp pink. This glorious color is displayed on perfectly formed flowers that are wide, ruffled, and lightly laced. He likes to throw his weight around with those huge blossoms on extra strong stalks. Extremely ruffled, the standards are dusky buff pink, infused purple at the midribs, with a purple wire rim. Deep plum to grape purple standards rise above light lavender white falls with a deeper lavender wash below the beard, extending out to a wide peach orange band. Every flower has a deep violet dotted center line that varies from one flower to the next. Beautiful wide and ruffled form with gorgeous stems. Standards are flesh pink with slightly lighter edges. Falls are rich reddish violet with a wide lavender band. The flowers are full, round, and ruffled, and held on nicely branched and budded stems. PRETTY MUCH IT (Thomas Johnson ’26)

Plicatas are such an interesting and fun group because of the variability that you can get. In general terms, one would describe this as a purple plicata, but Pretty Much It is so much more than that! Standards are white with a green flush up the midrib. Falls are pristine white, with a narrow stitched violet edge, and then a deeper violet wire rim. Hafts are touched deep red violet, and there is a small violet dart below the beard. Even the beard is a strange blend of orange and white. Upon closer inspection and as the flower ages a bit, the standards open slightly to show the gorgeous contrasting deep gold style crests from inside. The flowers are large and extremely wide and ruffled. Stems are tall, well branched and balanced, and display the beauty of the pattern perfectly. Sdlg. TO163B: Say It Right X Castle On The Hill

Perhaps I think about food too much, but I certainly think of dessert when I see this iris! It is the most yummy combination of colors, accentuated by heavy ruffles and lace. Truly a stunning iris! Flesh pink standards are a deeper shade in the center. Falls are white, with a very wide, ruffled, and laced medium orchid band. Bright, bright, and more bright are the best words to describe Shopping Spree. Standards are creamy white, with medium orange centers that transition to yellow orange veins.
