CRASH BANG (Black ’24) TB Very early 32” (81.5cm) Musky fragrance. A very smooth and brilliant variegata ensures ‘Crash Bang’ won’t be overlooked. Brilliant dark yellow standards. Sweet fragrance. This vigorous and hardy yellow ground plicata comes from very different breeding. It produces consistent show stalks that are at home in the garden or on the show bench. Yellow standards sit atop deep maroon falls. There is a yellow area that surrounds the beard and a light yellow-beige blended edge. Tall and well-branched stems assure that Dashing Stranger gets noticed in the later part of the flowering season.

White standards have a touch of lemon at the base. Falls are maroon to red with a white rim, and a light yellow area around the beard. The flowers are heavily ruffled. A TB that is a little on the shorter side, for the front of the border, and certainly one for those who love ruffles.

TB Late-very late 38” (96.5cm) Slight sweet fragrance.
Ooh la la! Look at that form!!! Truly, a stunning iris. Such a gorgeous shade of strawberry pink, with a lighter area below the awesome pink beard. Impeccable form in a beautiful color. Great stems and buds round it out. Probably one of the most, if not the most, gorgeous individual iris flowers I have seen. Its only flaw is that it is a very late flowering variety that does not like opening in extreme heat. A favorite from its maiden bloom, and one I can hardly wait to see flower each year.

Medium peachy orange standards rise above cream ground falls with a wide rosy pink dotted plicata band. There is also dotting across the hafts and a light blush of peach. A really bright and cheerful bicolor plicata.
