On the shorter side, GIRL LIKE YOU is a very ruffled and lightly laced rich salmon to orange self with a small white flash below fully saturated red orange beards. Nicely branched show stems are produced in profusion making quite a lovely garden show near the end of the season. Very rich and pretty!!

If you’re a connoisseur of flat irises, then you’re going to love ‘Voulez-Vous’. Six consistently flat falls are lavender with a darker maroon wash and darker texture veins. There are no standards. Buffy peach styles create pretty contrast in their centers. Growth is strong and vigorous. Show stalks are the norm. Large blooms have been consistently flat over 6 years of evaluation. It should be an easy winner at shows.

Sweet fragrance. Plum purple standards blushed lighter in the center. Falls are medium lavender with very deep plum hafts and narrow medium plum band. Nicely formed and ruffled flowers are carried on show stems with 9 buds. Very distinctive and pretty.

Pronounced sweet fragrance. This pretty little plicata continues with the contrasting-colored styles of ‘It’s a Small World’. Upright light buff standards showcase yummy mid peach styles. Light fragrance Peach-pink Standards. Falls are white with peach hafts and edge. Beards are tangerine with lavender-white at the end. The emphasis here is ruffles and more ruffles! The standards are extremely ruffled, creating a very feathery display. If you like ruffles you know there is “never enough”! Slight fragrance. If you have ever wondered what that iris is on the homepage of the website, well here it is. Pretty Rich likely will never win on the show bench, as the stems are a bit high branched and tighter budded. Sweet fragrance. This taller sibling of ‘Make Up Your Mind’ is a very handsome traditional plicata in a lovely cornflower blue shade. It adds one more branch and a complement of 9-10 buds on show stalks. It too is a strong clean grower. Standards are a near solid cornflower blue with a buff wire edge. Sweet fragrance. What can I say, it is pretty! Its highly ruffled form is a statement all on its own. Add entrancing color and show stalks and you have something you won’t soon forget.
