Very light grape standards with deep purple veins almost completely covering the petals. Petal edges are surrounded by a gilt gold narrow rim. Falls are deep purple with white rays extending out to the center of the petal then becoming solid purple with a stitched lavender rim. The backs of the falls are striped and veined all the way to the edge giving a very cool effect especially when in bud. Bright orange beards and feathered white style crests complete this wild ensemble. Good growth and stems carrying 8 buds. Coming from a cross of Blyth seedlings made in Australia. Truly striking!!

The first of many introductions this year from the wonderful parent Dressed to the Nines. White standards with lemon centers becoming faint veining to petal edge. Falls are a deep rich red violet with a very light lavender band and then a gold edge. The beards are tangerine tipped violet. Very nice ruffled form on fantastic show stems. Break My Heart is a strong bloomer covering itself with flowers. Fabulous!!

Standards have a white ground almost completely overlaid with lavender plicata dotting and a very narrow purple wire edge. Falls are white heavily overlaid with deep purple black dotting at the hafts and forming a wide band. Nice burnt orange beards pop out of the center adding nice contrast. A very nice early variety that has wonderful stems and covers itself in bloom. Outstanding in clump!!

I'M BACK sets a new standard for form and color in reblooming irises. Not only will you love seeing it the first time, you'll long for it to return, and it will. Standards are medium lilac with rich dusty rose centers and along upper margins which are covered with a fine network of burgundy veins. Styles are dusty rose with crests veined dark burgundy. Falls are velvety black-cherry with paler rims and adorned with dark root beer beards. Each flower is well-formed and elegantly ruffled.

You can take your pick from all the diverse personalities of ‘Take Your Pick’. Standards are dark purple and styles a bit darker. Light pink ground falls may have anywhere from a dark purple plicata band to purple almost completely covering the falls. Markings can vary from flower to flower on the same plant. All are beautiful. UNTAMED GLORY (T. Johnson ’21)

Untamed Glory is a novelty iris. It very consistently has six falls and no standards, but instead of going completely flat they hold in the shape of a magnolia bloom. It is very reminiscent in form of a very old cultivar by Opal Brown called Pink Magnolia. A clump of Untamed Glory will completely cover itself with these large ruffled salmon pink flowers with irregular white broken color. Definitely an iris for those who love the novelties.

Sweet fragrance. White standards with a light lemon-yellow flush up the midribs. Falls are white with an irregular dark lavender blue band. Lemon-yellow hafts shine brightly on either side of yellow-orange beards. Cash and Carry forms large clumps very quickly that cover themselves in bloom. Nicely formed flowers are held on consistent show stems carrying tens buds. A clump of Cash and Carry is simply amazing! Reliable fall rebloom!

No fragrance This is one of the rare instances of an arilbred-median producing a single viable seed. Better yet, the pollen parent is a reblooming TB. Pronounced sweet fragrance Take a dip of luscious vanilla ice cream and drizzle boysenberry syrup over it and you have this scrumptious confection. Dark red purple standards have white centers heavily plic marked the same. Styles are plum brown. Fancy plic marked cream falls are covered overall with boysenberry sanded veins becoming darker and more concentrated toward edges. Later bloom helps prevent late frost damage. Sweet fragrance. Standards are the darkest red violet with a very light rose edge. Falls are an intense shade of black mulberry with a thin light margin of light rose. There is just a touch of orange on either side of the white luminata patch. On The Cover is a very dark luminata but to the red tones of purple black where as many other dark luminatas currently on the market are to the blue tones of black. Standards have dark violet blue elliptical centers blending to wide dark purple bands underlaid with black veins. Halfmoon white fall centers on black falls are veined overall purple black. Slight sweet fragrance Sparkling pristine white flowers have standards decorated with wide vibrant mid violet plicata bands and sparse sanded veins over their centers. Amount of center markings varies considerably from sparse to overall. Contrasting dark plum style crests peak out over white falls with narrow mid purple plic bands. Dark wine sanded darts cover the hafts then give way to closely spaced light yellow veins. Light marigold to white beards are the perfect complement. Slight musky fragrance It is difficult to say which of the newer veined standards and falls creations I like best. Each is distinctive and has its own appeal. ‘Unimaginable’ is certainly toward the top of the list. Standards are pale lilac with one inch band of dark plum and solid rim. Circular white upper half of falls is covered with black veins progressing to solid black lower half with white dotted laced rims. It is an amazing look. Three branches produce 7-8 buds. White standards have light yellow centers changing to veining moving outward. Mid yellow styles echo the standards. Upper two-thirds of white falls are covered with heavy closely spaced dark red-brown veins and mottling. A white stripe bisects them. Neat half and half beards are mid gold ending in white.
