A favorite of ours from its maiden bloom. Eggshell white Standards with a nice wide gold band and the beginnings of violet veining. Falls are wide and ruffled deep violet with a white ray spray pattern around brilliant orange beards. Nicely ruffled flowers are held on good stems with ample buds. Very showy and a garden favorite.

White standards with wide gold band and deep gold base and midrib. Falls are white with lavender band and gold touched hafts. Bright orange beards. Creates a beautiful color combination and a garden standout.

Sweet fragrance. Creamy white standards with a very light violet plicata stitched edge and gold rim. Falls are stark white with deep violet plicata edge and haft. The beard is white at the base then violet and finally tipped orange. Very dark mustard yellow style arms provide a stark contrast. The crowning glory is the incredible show stems that are well branched and budded carrying 18 buds consistently. A very long period of bloom that starts with the early bloomers and continues into the late season. Impressive!!

AS YOU WISH (T. Johnson ’23)

Light fragrance. Medium rose-lavender-pink standards and edge on lighter pink falls. There is a darker pink blush on either side of the beautiful saturated pink beards. Very nice ruffled and laced form on nice show stems. As You Wish is an easy grower and has been used heavily in hybridizing. This is an iris that we like a lot!! Sdlg. Light sweet fragrance. Intense true medium to deep pink standards. Falls have a light pink center with a medium pink band. Beards are pink and orange with a short lavender tip. Light fragrance Peach-pink Standards. Falls are white with peach hafts and edge. Beards are tangerine with lavender-white at the end. The emphasis here is ruffles and more ruffles! The standards are extremely ruffled, creating a very feathery display. If you like ruffles you know there is “never enough”! Once again proving the value of Slice Of Heaven as a parent. Deep pink standards and edge on white falls with beautiful coral pink beards with a frosted pink end. Wonderful form and branching on strong stems. Found A Love, like its sister, As You Wish, from last year, is a very prolific bloomer and strong grower. I can’t say enough good things about this iris. Another favorite that I have been patiently waiting to get enough stock to share. She Will Be Loved is a beautiful shade of pink with a small light area below the lavender blue tipped beard. Impeccable wide and ruffled form with show stems creates a complete package.

The name kind of tells you the story. It starts flowering with the midseason varieties, and continues through until the very end of the iris bloom season. Very rich pink standards repeat themselves in a soft band on white falls. Big showy powder blue beards certainly add a touch of class. Very nice form with good bud count and stems. HEAVEN’S ANGEL (Thomas Johnson ’26)

“Wow” is what I say whenever I see this one! The form is absolute perfection. Add a warm color confection to the large, wide, and heavily ruffled flowers, and you have a winner! Standards are warm, clear medium pink, with a cream edge. Falls are the lightest pink to near white, with a stunning lavender band. Beards are near white, so as to not distract from the whole package. Nicely branched and budded stems round it out as a must have. This is one I have been waiting to introduce since its maiden bloom. This gorgeous pink iris was named It’s A Wrap because we always know that when it starts to bloom we are heading towards the end of the bloom season. Marked for introduction from its maiden bloom, we have been patiently building stock and are excited to finally offer it. This gorgeous pink self is slightly lighter below the beards, which are a wonderful shade of shrimp pink. This glorious color is displayed on perfectly formed flowers that are wide, ruffled, and lightly laced. Named for our dearly departed friend Emma Cook, since the pattern of this iris was named after her. Standards are snow white; styles are tinted ice blue white, with yellow at the base of the standards. The snow white falls are banded medium purple, with a lighter watermark between the purple and the white. Beards are bright full yellow. Seven buds on strong stems. Ooh la la, this one is a stunner. I am not usually overtaken by yellow and white, as the pattern has been done before, but... I simply cannot get enough of this. The form is impeccable, the stems and bud count are first rate, and the clumps are like heaven! The color is so clean and clear, and applied in such a way, that it makes me want to just pull up a chair and sit and stare at it all day long. Is it a glaciata? If you look deep in the heart, you will see the smallest of short purple lines. Whatever the classification, it is certainly gorgeous and highly recommended. Sdlg.
