Medium lavender pink standards. Falls are darker with a lighter edge. Beards are a frosted lavender. Nice show stems, and a good grower. The flowers are well formed with nice width and are lightly laced. A very lovely pastel. Classy!

LAVENDER BREEZE (T. Johnson ’19)

Sweetly scented. Rich lavender blue standards. Falls are lavender blue with deeper lavender veins extending to a medium lavender diffused band then encircled by a light lavender wire rim. Gorgeous full ruffled form with great stems and buds. Looks mighty fine in a clump. A good strong grower and very floriferous.

PALOMA BLANCA (T. Johnson ’19)

Sweet fragrance. Paloma Blanca is Spanish for white dove. Icy blue white standards and faint blended edge on white falls. Nice red orange beards are tipped blue white. Beautiful form with good lacing on the petal edges. Super clean grower with strong show stems carrying 8 buds. A very classy iris to close the season.

White ground standards are almost completely sanded and dotted gold, lighter in the center. Falls are white with deep red violet hafts and rim at distal end of petal. The border on the sides of the fall is heavily dotted medium lavender. Yellow beards with light lavender tips add to the interest. This is a very interesting and different color combination for a plicata. Very lovely and cheery. A good strong grower with nice stems and buds and classic form. Fantastic! Sadly, for hybridizers the cross tag had faded and I could not read it, so it is unknown parentage.

Some iris just remind me of food, perhaps it is just my insatiable appetite talking, but this one reminds me of some sort of yummy mango flavored dessert. Say the Word has very ruffled mango to peach blended standards and edge on white falls with a deep mango wash on the hafts and below the beard. A good grower and bloomer, Say the Word is a stunner; especially in full sun the color really shines. Very unique and won’t be confused with another. Gorgeous!!

Pink standards; falls are medium rosy pink in the center forming a deeper rosy pink blended band. Beautifully ruffled and even lightly laced petal edges on well-formed flowers carried on good stalks. Strawberry Bliss is a good grower and makes a beautiful clump. The flowers do fade with age but are still very lovely. Large shrimp pink beards certainly add to the attraction. One that has been much admired. Beautiful!!

Slight sweet fragrance. A complete self of reddish brown, wide, flared and lightly ruffled. Beards are yellow over white. Lovely branching and an easy grower. Can rebloom in warmer climates. Very fertile.

Slight fragrance. Pink standards with lighter edges. Smooth mid lavender falls with a very slight pink touch at the hafts. Beards are a gorgeous combination with orange in the heart then frosty blue and finally lavender at the tip. A good grower on a beautiful bicolor combination of lavender and pink.

Sweet fragrance. Orange Standards are a bit lighter and with some gold influence at the edges. Falls are Yellow-orange with a white spot below the brilliant tangerine-red beard. Light sweet fragrance. Standards are medium pink in the center, then becoming white with pink veins and finally forming a pink rim. Falls are white with a rose-pink band and a white tipped orange beard. Just Between Us is lovely in every way. The ruffled form is beautiful, it is a good grower and has nicely branched stems. Light fragrance Peach-pink Standards. Falls are white with peach hafts and edge. Beards are tangerine with lavender-white at the end. The emphasis here is ruffles and more ruffles! The standards are extremely ruffled, creating a very feathery display. If you like ruffles you know there is “never enough”! TB Midseason-late 37” (94cm Slight fragrance. I have literally been in love with this seedling for a number of years and now have enough to share. Once again proving the value of Slice Of Heaven as a parent. Deep pink standards and edge on white falls with beautiful coral pink beards with a frosted pink end. Wonderful form and branching on strong stems. Found A Love, like its sister, As You Wish, from last year, is a very prolific bloomer and strong grower. I can’t say enough good things about this iris. One could call this a reverse pink amoena. Medium pink standards rise above cream falls with medium pink hafts. Loved One has lots of bubbly ruffles with good buds and branching. It is a very prolific grower and bloomer as well. A really nice eye-catching and clear pink.
