Cream ground almost completely overlaid with pink and a little bit of violet dotting. Falls are stark white with a violet plicata band. Beards tangerine with red tips. A very clean and pretty bicolor plicata. Nice wide form and strong growth with show stems. Nice!!

Sweet fragrance. Standards have a cream ground that is almost completely overlaid with gold and a crystalline white petal edge. Falls are white with a lilac blue plicata band and dotted bar on either side of the beard. I simply love this iris. The color combination is so unique and carries the wow factor when in flower. Tall well branched stalks beckon to you from across the garden.

Sweet fragrance. Golden yellow standards with an ever so slightly stitched violet edge. Falls are cream with medium violet stitched hafts and narrow stitched band. Sweet fragrance. Standards are lavender with pink veining and infusions in the center. Contrasting medium salmon pink style arms are quite noticeable. Slight fragrance. White ground standards are sanded all over with light golden yellow dotting. Falls are white with a light lilac dotted band. There is a red violet haft that spreads across the falls on either side of the burnt orange beards. Standards have a cream base that is heavily overlaid with violet dotting in the center, extending out to form a lavender pink band. Falls are white with a slight lemon wash and a very precise deep violet stitched and dotted band. Magic Stitch is an absolutely incredible grower that covers itself in show stems. Flowers are very well-formed and held on strong stems. A super garden performer!!

CAN JUST IMAGINE (Thomas Johnson ’26)

Lavender blue standards; falls are lavender blue with a deeper violet blue brindled wash. Beards are burnt orange with lavender tips. Can Just Imagine is very tall and stately, with beautiful show stems. It is a ‘fancy’, which in hybridizing talk means it is about one generation away from being a luminata. A unique and striking feature is its beautiful lavender spathes and stems. It is very hard to photograph but is very noticeable in the garden. We have used this one quite a lot in hybridizing. Clean pink standards have a lighter flesh pink edge. Cream falls have a deep raspberry stitched haft and rosy pink dotted and stitched band.
