Dusty rose standards with deeper violet flush in center. Falls are slate blue purple with dusty rose hafts and tangerine beards. Well branched and budded stems assure a Queen of Show every time. Mystery Lady is a heavy bloomer covering itself in flowers. Strong growth with rapid increase. An iris that will draw you in for a closer inspection every time. Nice!!

Sweet fragrance. Pure bright yellow standards. Falls have deep yellow hafts on either side of the beard. The bright yellow on the hafts becomes lighter towards the petal edge. There is a strong dark violet inkblot below the beard that extends to near the petal edge. Ruffled and slightly flared flowers for the late season. A very interesting and striking pattern.

Sweet fragrance. Light honey yellow standards with a violet flush up the midrib. Falls are a rich purple with a lighter band. Strongly ruffled flowers are carried on tall multi-budded stems. A very easy and showy grower.

This is a color combination I am a bit of a sucker for. Brilliant bright yellow standards that are exceptionally clean are held over light to medium lavender falls. The falls have deeper texture veins that run the length of the petals and the hafts are touched yellow. Strong stems on large classically formed flowers. Sweet fragrance. Golden orange standards tower over deep old rose falls with a large central blue violet wash. Hafts are touched gold on either side of burnt orange beards. Sweet fragrance. Clean and crisp medium yellow standards. Falls are a very interesting blend of violet and yellow. The hafts are touched more solid yellow and there is a more concentrated yellow-tan blend forming a band. The center of the fall is flushed violet. Light fragrance. Creamy white standards have light orange centers with light lavender veins, becoming orange as they extend outwards to the petal’s edge. Falls are a medium orange with salmon tones blended in the center. We continue to work on the orange amoena type to improve the stems. Sweet fragrance. The name on this iris describes it perfectly. The standards are yellow, and the falls are a light lilac with a lighter center and yellow hafts. Light fragrance. Icy white standards are flushed and veined pink in the center. Falls are orange with an overall wash of salmon-rose and slightly deeper veins. DRAMATIC FINALE (T. Johnson ’25)
TB Late-very late 38” (96.5cm) Slight fragrance.
Standards have dark reddish violet centers with a wide blue violet area and then a lighter edge. Falls are the same with deep reddish violet hafts. The flowers on Dramatic Finale are extremely ruffled and a bit flared. Nice stems with good bud count are the norm. Dramatic Finale is very late and is not recommended in hot early climates such as Southern CA or Arizona where it may be susceptible to heat burn. It should be a great variety to close the season in the more northerly gardens.
