Pink Standards; Falls have a light pink to white ground with a lavender stitched plicata band. Orange Beards are tipped white. We really like this plicata coming from non-traditional plicata breeding at least on the mother’s side. A strong grower and a fun color combination. Large flowers have nice wide and ruffled form. We have been hybridizing heavily with BEAUTICIAN.

If it is splendidly unique color you’re looking for, look no further. Mid pink standard color repeats in narrow bands around grape purple falls. Smoldering burnt coral orange beards add a bit of drama to this Beauty Contest. Branching and buds are quite variable with 2-3 branches and 5-9 buds. Garden visitors have universally loved this beauty.

Falls of big white, heavily ruffled blooms are wildly patterned over their centers with closely spaced networks of lines and veins, becoming a heavier wash toward lower edges. Light tangerine beards are a pleasing accent. Nicely branched stalks have 7 buds.

The hazy anthocyanin (blue to purple pigments) over the lower falls of plicatas have been informally dubbed “ghost plics” because of their ethereal appearance. It is probably a variant of the Celestar pattern and can vary considerably in intensity and application. White standards are heavily plic sanded over centers becoming solid toward red plum bands lined darker plum and showcasing unique black plum styles. Wide white falls have 3/4 inch stitched and sanded lilac plic bands with ghostly light lilac rouging inside them and dark plum haft markings. Mid marigold beards are a delightful accent. Show stalks have 4 branches and spur and 10-12 buds. Later bloom helps ensure a quality performance in colder climates.

When working with bicolors and amoenas, neglectas are so often encountered and usually dismissed as just another neglecta. This one however defies that perception. It is so captivating when you see it in the garden. The standards are lavender-lilac and the falls are rich violet with a well-defined 3/8” edge of lavender. Beards are burnt tangerine. Wide overlapping falls, ruffles showing quite a bit of lace. Well branched with show stems and fertile. Super.

Peach pink standards. Falls are peach with a deep magenta fall wash. A peach center belly stripe starts below the beard and extends to the petal edge, then a wide lighter peach fall band with a pencil thin magenta edge, and tangerine beards complete the picture. Large round and full formed flowers make quite a statement from a distance as well as up close.

Pronounced sweet fragrance Reveille sounds as the brilliant sun rises just like the vivid yellow-gold standards of this showy flower. Showy clumps and shorter stature provide a bright spot toward the front of your landscape.

Big, round and buxom. She was ‘Born this Way’. Frothy, exuberantly ruffled fuchsia rose falls are widely banded near white with an interesting veined transition between central color and banding. Strong well-branched stalks carry these beauties in regal fashion. Easy increaser. Unfortunately the cross tag was lost.

Sweet fragrance. Golden yellow standards. Falls are very difficult to describe. Essentially a deep maroon around and below the beard that blends out to a washed maroon over lavender and finally forming a gold band. Beautiful form with consistent show stems the norm.
