Pink Standards; Falls have a light pink to white ground with a lavender stitched plicata band. Orange Beards are tipped white. We really like this plicata coming from non-traditional plicata breeding at least on the mother’s side. A strong grower and a fun color combination. Large flowers have nice wide and ruffled form. We have been hybridizing heavily with BEAUTICIAN.

Very rich oxblood red self with nice orange beard. Super strong grower and nice well branched and budded show stalks, inherited from its pod parent Sharp Dressed Man. Really makes a stunning clump.

LAVENDER BREEZE (T. Johnson ’19)

Sweetly scented. Rich lavender blue standards. Falls are lavender blue with deeper lavender veins extending to a medium lavender diffused band then encircled by a light lavender wire rim. Gorgeous full ruffled form with great stems and buds. Looks mighty fine in a clump. A good strong grower and very floriferous.

PALOMA BLANCA (T. Johnson ’19)

Sweet fragrance. Paloma Blanca is Spanish for white dove. Icy blue white standards and faint blended edge on white falls. Nice red orange beards are tipped blue white. Beautiful form with good lacing on the petal edges. Super clean grower with strong show stems carrying 8 buds. A very classy iris to close the season.

White ground standards are almost completely sanded and dotted gold, lighter in the center. Falls are white with deep red violet hafts and rim at distal end of petal. The border on the sides of the fall is heavily dotted medium lavender. Yellow beards with light lavender tips add to the interest. This is a very interesting and different color combination for a plicata. Very lovely and cheery. A good strong grower with nice stems and buds and classic form. Fantastic! Sadly, for hybridizers the cross tag had faded and I could not read it, so it is unknown parentage.

PUERTO VALLARTA (T. Johnson ’21)

Puerto Vallarta the iris kind of reminds me of the beautiful sunsets over the ocean on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, thus the name. Brilliant golden yellow standards. Falls have dark yellow hafts that blend to a lighter lemon wash and finally deepening to a mustard yellow edge. Salmon shadings are deeper at the haft becoming a blended wash inside the yellow edge. There is also a large white patch below the intensely saturated yellow/orange beards. A very consistent garden performer with show stems and 9 buds. An easy and strong grower that really adds a bright spot of color in the garden. Super!!

Sweet fragrance. Egg shell to light lavender standards with a narrow buff-gold ruffled rim. Milk glass white falls have a deep violet plicata band. There is a heavy concentration of violet across the hafts that forms a solid violet dart below burnt orange beards. Contrasting medium salmon style arms and a slight blush of salmon on the hafts of the falls completes the effect. A super strong grower with lovely show stems and triple bud sockets from top to bottom yields 12 or more total buds.

TB Midseason-Late 36” (91cm) Sweet fragrance. There is nothing like a well formed solid medium purple to violet iris. Dark Hour is a very strong grower with lots of beautiful show stems and a lovely sweet perfume. The blue beard really adds to the attraction. A quality garden iris!!

Sweet fragrance. Salmon pink standards over orchid falls with a slight blue flash below the red-orange beards. A very strong grower that makes a very elegant clump filled with bloom. What we really like about Double Jeopardy is how it displays itself. The sequence and placement of blooms and stalks allows for an open look that does not overcrowd. Each flower is an individual ruffled creation. A favorite of mine for the last few years as it never fails to dazzle. Recommended!!

Sweet fragrance. Standards have golden yellow centers and icy blue-white edges. Falls are golden yellow with a white flash that extends from just below the beard and blends into a gold band near the petal edge. House Of Light is a very vigorous grower and is always one of the very first to start blooming. Strong show stems with ample buds make it an early season showstopper. A nice iris to kickstart the TB season.

TB Midseason 36” (91cm) Slight fragrance. White standards have a narrow gold halo that is matched on the style crests. Falls are white with a violet plicata stitched edge. Beards mustard- yellow, more tangerine in the throat. An excellent grower with strong show stems carrying 10 buds. Nice ruffled, wide and overlapping form adds to the show. Gives a very clean and sharp look to the garden.

Sweet fragrance. Golden yellow standards with an ever so slightly stitched violet edge. Falls are cream with medium violet stitched hafts and narrow stitched band. Sweet fragrance. Orange Standards are a bit lighter and with some gold influence at the edges. Falls are Yellow-orange with a white spot below the brilliant tangerine-red beard. Sweet fragrance. Dark burgundy-maroon standards are edged with a wide gold band. Falls are a deep beetroot red to near black with a narrow gold edge. The central white luminata patch has gold touched hafts on both sides. Heavily ruffled flowers are a delight to behold. Here Comes Trouble is a strong grower with fast increase and a prolific bloomer. She has been very popular with garden visitors. Sdlg. Sweet fragrance. Light lavender violet standards are banded in cream with faint gold veining. Falls are a rich deep red violet with a light lavender edge. Beards are a nice tangerine. Space race is a super strong grower and a fast increaser creating full clumps very quickly. A color pattern that shows from clear across the field. Sdlg. TB Midseason-late 37” (94cm Slight fragrance. I have literally been in love with this seedling for a number of years and now have enough to share. Once again proving the value of Slice Of Heaven as a parent. Deep pink standards and edge on white falls with beautiful coral pink beards with a frosted pink end. Wonderful form and branching on strong stems. Found A Love, like its sister, As You Wish, from last year, is a very prolific bloomer and strong grower. I can’t say enough good things about this iris.
