Sweet fragrance. Standards have medium rose pink centers and a flesh pink edge. Falls are a rich purple with a near black purple haft. Even the beard is dark being purple with burnt orange hair tips giving it a bit of a gothic look. I love pink and purple combinations although they are not that common. A very pretty iris. Sdlg. Lightly scented. Standards are a very rich shade of peach to orange. Falls are a deep plush burgundy to near black with a light burgundy rose band and then a deeper rose pencil edge. Slight sweet fragrance. I have a bit of a love for orange amoenas and this one is no exception! Standards are cream with orange centers. Falls are a rich orange with deep red-orange beards. Sweet fragrance. Standards are lavender with gold veining though out and a gold edge. Falls are white with a lilac and rose dotted band and a blue dart below the beard. Lightly fragrant. More coral than pink, this self reminds me of the coral jewelry you can obtain in Hawaii. The color always stops me in the garden because of its intensity. The coral-pink is a little creamy around the beards. Beards are coral, lightening to peach at the upturned tip. Flowers are ruffled with slightly crimped edges. Light fragrance. A difficult to describe shade of orange. A blend of coral, peach, and orange depending on the lighting. Crisp, nicely ruffled flowers with flaring falls are well placed on strong stalks. The deep coral orange beards are completed by the upturned horns. Pronounced sweet fragrance Oh yes, that big billowy ruffled form is something to shout about. Mid red violet standards have ruffled light buff bands and subtle gray-white veins shot outward from their centers. Styles are light buff. Mid dark red violet blended falls have muted fine gray-white lines overall, narrow gray-white bands and white luminata patch. Beards progress from mid marigold ending in white. Sweet fragrance. Brilliant golden yellow standards. Falls are a blended rosy violet with a lavender wash in the center. The hafts are touched gold and there is a narrow gold rim. Sweet fragrance. Ooh la la is what I say each year when this one starts to flower. Impeccable wide and ruffled form. Not really sure whether to call this a bicolor or a blend. Whatever it is, we like it very much, and we love to hybridize with it. Blended golden orange and salmon standards swirl elegantly above light rosy lavender falls with a peach wash, deeper at the hafts, and lighter as it moves down the petal. Oh, and did we mention it is ruffled? This was a very productive cross and has yielded many intros including last year’s Head Of The Class and Refined Elegance. Sdlg. Musky fragrance. The quest for a TB with blue standards and pink falls has been a long and frustrating road for many hybridizers. Along the way there are beautiful seedlings worthy of introduction, and this is one of those. Larger flowers are carried on sturdy stalks. Notice the peach pink styles peering from between violet-blue standards. Standards are a blended light blue-violet and pink. Sweet fragrance. Amply ruffled flowers are displayed on superbly branched show stalks. Strong growing, disease resistant foliage makes Ripples In Time a good landscape plant. Three branches and a spur provide 10-11 buds. Its lovely pastel color is a perfect foil for darker colors. Standards are lemon with gold centers. This one is a bit hard to describe. Standards are a lovely blended lavender with medium burnt orange centers transitioning to orange veins as they move toward the edge. Falls are a complex blend of colors that appear as a deep burnt orange to red creating a very lovely and distinctive color. Great branching and stems carry well-formed flowers that are a true delight. Coming from the beautifully colored and formed Shockaholic. Challenge Accepted is a nice advancement in this color pattern.

Standards are blue white with darker centers infused pink. Falls are a rich rosy pink with a very light lavender band. A really beautiful color combination, and one that has been popular with visitors. Nice buds, stems, and growth certainly add to the attraction.

I have been working with Shockaholic as a parent, trying to put a really nice stem on intensely colored patterns involving orange. This one certainly makes the mark. Standards have pink centers that transition to peach. Falls are a vibrant medium orange. Great stems carry nicely ruffled and very elegant flowers. Such a lovely medley of colors!
