Snapshot may be short of stature but you won’t overlook the powerful presence of its bright colors in your garden. Blazing yellow-gold standards continue as large sunbursts etched onto centers of mahogany-red falls. Mahogany veins radiate over sunbursts. Zingy gold beards amplify the sunburst effect. Growth is strong and robust. Stalks have two branches and 7 buds.

JUST CURIOUS (Thomas Johnson ’22)

Sweet fragrance. Medium orange standards with darker centers and style arms. Falls are a light butter yellow with an old rose band and lighter white area below the brilliant orange beard. Super grower with well branched and budded show stems. I have used Just Curious heavily in hybridizing, it is a fantastic parent for all sorts of different rimmed patterns. It also transmits its vigorous plant habit and great stems quite easily to its children. There will be many introductions from it in the next few years. Beautiful!!

Sweet fragrance White Standards are infused medium yellow up the midrib. Falls are white with a wide lavender dotted plicata band. Hafts are a dark red violet. Every flower has a deep violet dotted center line that varies from one flower to the next. Beautiful wide and ruffled form with gorgeous stems. Slight fragrance This Iris is for the lovers of brown. Now if we could just make the standards a clean white we could take it to the next level. At any rate it is truly stunning as is. Standards are creamy white with a heavy dose of deep lemon infused up through the center. Falls are a rich brown with a lighter amber yellow edge. Strong growth and nice show stems add to the appeal.
