On the shorter side, GIRL LIKE YOU is a very ruffled and lightly laced rich salmon to orange self with a small white flash below fully saturated red orange beards. Nicely branched show stems are produced in profusion making quite a lovely garden show near the end of the season. Very rich and pretty!!

Standards have a white ground overlaid solid deep gold in center becoming gold veining and finally a gold band at petal edge. Falls are a rich lavender to light red violet with a deep black cherry red thumbprint hafts and slight fall wash. Very pretty color combination and one that has been used a lot in hybridizing.

WRAP HER UP (T. Johnson ’21)

Apricot to salmon pink standards with a rosy lavender flush up the midrib. Falls are a rich magenta rose that is very clean with a nice ruffled edge and red orange beards. Wrap Her Up is a very clean bicolor and we think much prettier than the photo depicts. With very pretty show stems, Wrap Her Up makes a very elegant show near the end of the season.

PULL ME CLOSE (Thomas Johnson ’22)

Sweet fragrance. Standards are a rich shade of salmon pink extending out to become veining as it moves towards the icy blue border. Style arms peek through with the same rich salmon coloration. Falls are white with light salmon hafts and a blue blended band becoming deeper toward the edge. The form is wide and overlapping at the hafts with good ruffles. Easy growth and strong stems make this a real garden standout. A favorite of mine and of visitors to the garden. A very pretty combination.

Light sweet fragrance. Rich royal purple standards over purple to near black falls. Beards are a burnt orange with yellow hair tips. Quite a beautiful iris in our continuing quest for a nice ruffled and laced yellow bearded black or purple bitone. Very pretty! Sdlg. TM94B: Own The Night X Heat Of The Moment

Sweet fragrance. Standards have medium rose pink centers and a flesh pink edge. Falls are a rich purple with a near black purple haft. Even the beard is dark being purple with burnt orange hair tips giving it a bit of a gothic look. I love pink and purple combinations although they are not that common. A very pretty iris. Sdlg. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN (T. Johnson ’23)

Sweet fragrance. Standards are pink with a flesh pink band and a gold edge. Falls are a rich plum violet with tangerine beards. This is a late variety. It is in full flower when pretty much everything else has finished. A very strong grower and increaser and floriferous, covering itself in bloom. Sdlg. TK1ZZ: Love You So sib.

Sweet fragrance. Cream based standards have pink centers and a light lemon veined band. Falls are a rich apricot with light apricot below the beard and touched pink below the hafts. PRETTY RICH (T. Johnson ’24)

Slight fragrance. If you have ever wondered what that iris is on the homepage of the website, well here it is. Pretty Rich likely will never win on the show bench, as the stems are a bit high branched and tighter budded. However, the flowers open sequentially, clumps have a long season of bloom, and the color is to die for. Very strong growth and beautiful healthy foliage add to its garden value. Sdlg. SUDDEN OUTBURST (T. Johnson ’25)
TB Early-midseason 37” (94cm) Sweetly scented.
Sudden Outburst comes from the ‘pansy face’ pattern breeding program. Standards are icy blue white. Falls are a rich deep violet with reddish hafts and a wide lavender band. Very pretty and well received at the local iris show.
