Instructions
ORDER CUT OFF DATE
NO FOREIGN ORDERS ACCEPTED AFTER AUGUST 15, 2008.
Because of the additional time needed to obtain the phytosanitary certificate and process your order, it is necessary to receive your order by August 15, 2008.
DOCUMENTATION
Phytosanitary certificate is $35.00 and is required on all foreign orders. Import Permit, if required, must be furnished by the customer. We MUST have an English translated copy of it. Please check with your customs and agriculture officials to determine if an import permit is needed. If one is needed and you don't have it, it can cause lengthy delays.
LIABILITY
Customs and inspection officials are becoming more erratic with their application of rules and regulations. This makes it more difficult for us to insure your parcel of irises will be delivered to you. Because of this, Mid-America Garden will no longer be responsible for and will not make reimbursement or replacement for parcels delayed, destroyed, or returned to us without legitimate cause. If it is our error that causes the problem, we will take full responsibility for it and will take necessary steps to make it right.
TRANSPORTATION / SHIPPING
Orders will be shipped via Priority Mail (previously Air Mail), Express Mail Service, or other Air delivery service; depending on cost and ease of delivery. Please estimate shipping charges using the table below and pay that amount with your order. If there is an overpayment, we will include extra iris to make up the difference. If there is not enough money to cover shipping charges, we will bill you for the amount owed.
Please include your phone number on your order form. Including an e-mail address is also helpful

NOTE: The above estimates are based on International Mail rates in effect at the time of writing this catalog. Adjustments may be necessary in the event of a rate increase.
PAYMENT
ALL orders must be paid for prior to shipping. Payment must be made in U.S. Dollars payable through an American bank. International Money Orders payable in U.S. dollars are recommended. (No Eurodollars.) You can charge your order to your VISA or MASTERCARD credit card. We will need your name as it appears on your credit card, your account number, expiration date, and 3 digit security code (last 3 digits of credit card number from back of card. If you want to use electronic funds transfer, a $20.00 transfer fee must be added to your order. This is what our bank charges us to receive electronic funds transfers. MINIMUM ORDER is $100.00 plus shipping charges and documentation fee. We suggest that the order be acknowledged prior to payment in case we are "sold out" of any items ordered. If you do not want to wait for an acknowledgement, please list acceptable substitutes. Please include the city through which the parcel will enter your country so this may be included on the Phytosanitary Certificate.
NOTE: American hybridizer, Keith Keppel, no longer makes overseas iris shipments. If you want to purchase Keith’s new 2008 or previous years introductions, please place your order with us. These plants will be shipped with your Mid-America Garden order.
