Welcome to Mid-America Garden. Thank you for dropping by our website to view some of the latest and best Bearded Irises as well as the tried and true. We also have one of the largest selections of varieties from overseas hybridizers such as Barry Blyth from Australia,and Richard Cayeux from France.

We are also proud to present the 2011 introductions of Paul Black and Thomas Johnson. Our emphasis is on distinctive flowers produced by vigorous, hardy plants and borne on strong, well-branched and budded stalks. You will also notice we have a definite obsession with Standard Dwarf Bearded hybridizing.

Mid-America Garden is much more than an iris garden.

The grounds are a botanical wonderland with something in bloom most of the year. There are many trees and shrubs including evergreens of all sorts, fruit trees, Japanese maples, and magnolias; to mention a few. There are large collections of daffodils, peonies, [these will be in bloom during iris bloom season] lilies, hemerocallis [daylilies], gladiolus, and one of the largest collections of hostas in this part of the country. Hostas and other shade plants are available for sale from Sebright Hosta Nursery located on this same property. You can easily spend a half day or more enjoying this abundance of beauty. Please come by and do just that.
